Approaches of Human Development
1. Traditional Perspective
-This is all bout the believes of people that individuals will show extensive changes from birth to adolescence but a little to no changes when it comes to adulthood and a decline at old age.
2. Life-Span Approach
-A belief that there are developmental changes occur even in adulthood as it does during childhood. I personally experience that even in adulthood, I still experience changes.
Some of the Characteristics of a Life-Span Approach is that Development is:
*LIFELONG - Development does not end in adulthood.
*MULTIDIMENSIONAL - It consist of biological, cognitive and socio-emotional dimensions.
*PLASTIC - Developments is possible throughout our lifespan.
*CONTEXTUAL - We as an individual are changing beings in this changing world.
